What It Is / Key Details
-
This is a one‑time “special release” bourbon under the E.H. Taylor, Jr. label.
-
It is 10 years old, Bottled‑in‑Bond (i.e. 100 proof / 50% ABV)
-
The barrels selected came from Warehouse C, built by Colonel E.H. Taylor in 1885.
-
The release blended barrels from two specific floors of Warehouse C: half from 2nd floor and half from 5th floor, aiming to combine their aging characteristics.
-
The floors have different aging profiles: the 2nd floor is tighter, drier (slower aging, more oak concentration), while the 5th floor has better airflow and more heat from windows, giving more balanced maturation.
-
It was released in June 2021 (or early summer 2021) in limited quantities.
