Specifications & Background

• Eagle Rare is produced by Buffalo Trace Distillery in Frankfort, Kentucky (owned by the Sazerac Company).

• The “10 Year” label means the bourbon has been aged for a minimum of 10 years in new charred American oak barrels.

• Typical proof: ~90 proof (45% ABV) for the standard 10‑year version.

• The “Single Barrel” or “Store Pick / Barrel Select” versions are selected from one barrel  which offers unique barrel characteristics. “whiskey: Eagle Rare 10 Year Extra Rare | Single Barrel Select … Size: 750 mL, Proof: 90 (45% ABV)”

• Mash bill (not fully disclosed) is “low rye” (less than ~10% rye) for the standard Eagle Rare 10.
